Would you like to train at one of the top facilities in the U.S.? If so, the University of Michigan Women’s Gymnastics Staff invites you to sign-up for the 2010 Michigan Gymnastics Summer Camp.
About the Camp
The Michigan Gymnastics Summer Camp is five full days of training with Head Coach Bev Plocki, along with Assistant Coaches Scott Sherman and Shannon Welker. Emphasis will be placed on individual instruction on all four apparatuses as well as dance, strength, and flexibility. The aim is to provide individualized attention and safety for each camper.
Daily instruction for each camper will include an opportunity to learn new skills using the latest in gymnastics training methods and equipment. Our state-of-the-art facility includes:
- Three Vault stations
- Multiple Bar stations (including a channel bar)
- Several Balance Beam stations
- Floor Exercise area with additional tumbling strip, rod floor, and tumble track
Each event utilizes an extensive pit system with both free foam and resi-pits.
It is the intent of the entire University of Michigan Women’s Gymnastics Staff to provide each camper with the best possible atmosphere in which to learn and sharpen their gymnastics skills. With a staff of outstanding coaches, the Michigan Gymnastics Summer Camp will be a tremendous experience for all involved.
The Camp Staff
The highly-skilled coaching staff includes private club and college coaches who coach all levels from beginner to elite as well as, our very own University of Michigan gymnasts. A qualified athletic trainer is also on site at all times.
2010 Camp Dates
Two sessions of the Michigan Gymnastics Summer Camp are available:
- Session 1: June 20-24
- Session 2: June 27-July 1
Camp Prices
Resident Camp: $ 530.00 — fee covers instruction, all meals, lodging, and transportation
Commuter Camp: $ 420.00– fee covers instruction, lunch and dinner
Camp T-Shirt is $ 6.00 additional
Discounts
- $10.00 Early Bird Discount for Online Registrations completed prior to Febuary 1st
- $10.00 Discount on 2nd week of camp for multi week campers
- $10.00 Discount on 2nd child from same family
- $10.00 Discount for any 10 campers from the same club that register together (use mail in registration)
* Only 1 discount may be applied per camper
* A $200 deposit is due with your registration, The balance is due May 1st
* After May 1st, registrations are still accepted, but payment must be made in full
Refunds
*Anytime before May 1st, upon written notice of cancellation, application deposit less $ 25.00 is refundable
*Cancellations received in writing before June 1st will receive refund less $100.00
