Live From Crisler Arena!

It’s Alumni Night!

We’re live from Crisler Arena.  It’s alumni night – and we have not only alumni gymnasts but alumni parents in the arena as well.

MGoBlue.com is offering free live video, while we’ll be offering live scoring and commentary.

———————

6:26pm:   Katie and Jackie are warming up on beam while the rest of the team transitions to bars.  We are looking forward to a great meet tonight – with not only the #5 team in the nation but also our alumni in the house.

6:28pm: A shout out to all the fans and alumni that were unable to make the trip.  Go Blue!

6:39pm: Kelsey is looking great on bars – nice lines and she’s working that dismount. Brittnee just warmed up her shapashnikova and now Jo is warming up her reverse hecht and her transitions from high to low.  Sarah just nailed her double layout dismount.

6:41pm: Utah fans are in attendance – they’ve taken over the center seats across the arena from the Michigan parents.  We’re looking for a good turnout tonight.

6:43pm: The teams are now transitioning to their third events.  I’ll get my first chance to see Utah on floor.  Ironically – the UM athletic department just hung up the Michigan Women’s Gymnastics Banner right in front of the Utah fans.

6:45pm: I’ve been told that the alumni parents are tailgating before the meet.  We’ll also be tailgating after the meet :)

6:48pm: Beth Rizzo is warming up on floor at the moment.  Very high intensity music. On beam, Katie is working her leap series.

6:50pm: Daria Bijak has some impressive leaps on floor – great extension and height.

6:52pm: Kylee is warming up on beam – she’s got her game face on already.

6:53pm: If I have the rotation order right – Kyndal Robarts is going through her dance through – and has music from the soundtrack of August Rush.

6:54pm: The crowd is starting to come in – I already see two full gymnastics teams.  And I’ve been told that Bruck is bringing the UNH team – which is in town to compete against MSU tomorrow.

6:55pm: Annie DiLuzio just threw a huge leap combination.  Very powerful music – works well in timing her tumbling and jumps.

6:56pm: Tentative exhibitions tonight include Katelyn Mohr on vault, Annie DiLuzio on bars, Fumina Kobayashi on beam, and Katelyn Mohr and Jacquelyn Johnson on floor for Utah.

6:58pm: Teams are rotating to their last event.  Let’s go blue floor!  Rock it ladies.

7:01pm: Britt is warming up her floor routine.  Let’s go blue!  Shannon and the kids just arrived and Dani’s dancing to Britt’s music.

7:03pm: Here comes Jo!  Love her routine this year.   Alumni are in the house!  This is going to be a great night to see former and current Wolverines in the arena.

7:05pm: Nat is about to wow the crowd – and that’s just with her dance through!

7:09pm:  Here comes Ky!  Show us how to dance!

7:10pm: The crowd is filling in a bit more – we’re aiming to fill the lower bowl tonight.

7:15pm: Michigan has gone to the locker room to change.  Utah is finishing up on beam.  We’ll be starting in the next 15 minutes so click on our live scoring page, open the live video feed and get ready for some good gymnastics.  GO BLUE!
