Ask The Team
“Ask the Team” is for you, our fans, to ask anyone from the Michigan Gymnastics Program, including athletes, coaches, and trainers, anything that is on your mind. If your question gets chosen, we will try to get an answer within a week or so.
- Jennifer from Grand Blanc: I was wondering why Trish Wilson and Kari Pearce have not competed so far this season?
- Hi Jennifer:
Unfortunately, Trish will be out for the season due to an injury. Though she is unable to compete, she is an integral part of the team, keeping her teammates motivated and acting as another coach in the gym. Despite her injury, she continues to have a positive outlook -- that's one of the many reasons her team elected her Captain!
Kari Pearce should been seen shortly in the lineup and we are looking to having her back! We expect her to contribute on vault and floor.

- Livie from Wisconsin asks Kylee: "When you compete against your sister, are you two having fun or is it competitive?"
- Kylee says:
Hi Livie,
Oh, we are having so much fun! Before we went to college we were on the same team our whole lives and it was never competitive! We always just wanted each other to do well, and that is still how it is in college. We're best friends! We don't get to see each other very often any more, so at competitions we are just so happy to see each other and we make the best of it! Even though we have only met twice
previously and at least one more time this year (big tens!) we still cheer for each other even though we are on different teams... we're
sisters! But, unfortunately she is a graduating senior this year so, this is the last year we will competing against one another! :(

Kylee - Sandy in Ann Arbor asks...Which of the seniors are eligible for a 5th year, and do any of you plan to continue (if you are eligible)?
- Hi Sandy:
Thanks for your question! Sarah Curtis and Jordan Sexton are both eligible for a 5th year. At this point, Jordan has decided to return for another year, while Sarah will forego a 5th year to focus on her medical school studies. We expect both athletes to play pivotal roles in our 2010 season and hope that you will be there to cheer them on!
