Botterman’s 10 on Vault Leads to Conference Win
Junior Kylee Botterman placed first on vault (10.0), bars (9.9), and the all-around (39.675) to lead the Wolverines (196.775) to a decisive conference win at the University of Illinois (196.175) on Saturday evening. Kylee’s 10.0 on vault was the first 10.0 for a Michigan Wolverine since 2004 when Elise Ray earned a 10.0 on bars at the Big Ten Championships.
With family and friends in attendance, Kylee was unstoppable. Besides her wins on vault, bars, and the all-around, she placed second on beam (9.850) and floor (9.925). Other Michigan highlights included senior Sarah Curtis – who continues to shine for the Wolverines, placing second on vault (9.925), bars (9.875), and the all-around (39.425) and third on floor (9.875).
